Thymus is a bilobed lymphoid organ and an endocrine gland situated nearest to heart. Parathyroides are two pairs, embedded in dorsal surface of thyroid gland. Its hormone, parathormone maintains calcium and phosphate metabolsim in body. It also never degenerates in humans life.
