    Cadmium occurs in air due to industries and human activities, cadmium is poisonous at very low levels and known to accumulate in human liver and kidney. It cause prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is a common cause of death accounting for about 2 to 3 per cent of all male death. The cancerous cells are usually stimulated to more rapid growth by testosterone and are inhibited by removal of both testes so that testosterone cannot be formed. Lead inhalation causes reduced haemoglobin formation, thus leading to anaemia. Lead compounds also damage RBCs resulting in infections of liver and kidney in man. Chlorine is emitted by caustic soda industries. It damages leaf stomata and causes breathing problems in man.
