    Vitamin D has alcohol group in it i.e., have formula of \[{{C}_{27}}{{H}_{43}}OH\], Vitamin-D is synthesized in skin from 7-dehydrocholesterol by the action of UV component of sunlight. Deficiency of vitamin D causes rickets. Vitamin \[{{B}_{2}}\] (riboflavin) is synthesized by green plants, many bacteria and fungi. FAD and FMN are the two coenzyme forms of riboflavin. Vitamin \[{{B}_{5}}\] (pantothenic acid) is an important component of co-enzyme A. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) helps in formation of connective tissues, cartilage bone, teeth etc. Its deficiency causes scurvy.
