The excretory system in annelids consisting of  metamerically disposed coiled tubes called   nephridia. The coelom is true schizocoelous, usually divided by transverse septa, coelomic fluids with cells or corpuscles. Clitellum is a girdle-like thick band or glandular tissue. It secretes mucus albumen and an egg case or cocoon for eggs.
