Enzyme having different molecular  arrangement but similar functions, is:

    A)  isoenzyme

    B)  holoenzyme

    C)  apoenzyme

    D)  coenzyme

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

Isozymes are different forms of an enzyme which catalyse the same reaction but possess different kinetic properties and different amino acid composition. They can be separated by appropriate techniques such as electrophoresis. Different is ozymes are usually derived from different genes and often occur in different tissues of body. Most of the enzymes composed of protein part (apoenzyme) and nonprotein part (coenzyme) and these two parts are collectively called holoenzyme. Coenzymes are organic molecules derived from water soluble vitamins such as niacin and riboflavin that are needed for the function of particular enzymes.
