    Pseudostratified epithelium consists of single layer of irregularly shaped columnar cells touches the basement membrane. Mucous secreting goblet cells are numerous and cilia are present. Pseudostratified columnar epithelium is found in lining of trachea and brochci (both ciliated), parotid salivary gland, vasa deferentia and epididymis. Simple cuboidal epithelium is present in small salivary and pancreatic ducts, thyroid vesicles, PCT, DCT, ovaries, seminiferous tubules ciliary bodies etc. Stratified squamous keratinized epithelium is characterized by multiple layers of cells e.g., epidermis of the skin of vertebrates. Stratified squamous non-keratinized epithelium is found lining the oral cavity, pharynx, oesophagus, vocal cords, vagina, cervix etc.
