    Opium is obtained from Papaver  somniferum (family Papaveraceae). The crude opium contains about 10% morphine and 15% other alkaloids such as codeine, narcotine, narceine, papaverene, meconine etc. Drug belladona is obtained from the dried roots, leaves and tops of Atropa belladona. Belladona is used extremely to relieve pain and eye defect. The fresh juice of leaves ofAzadirachta indica is given for the treatment of intestinal worms, with honey the juice is used for jaundice and skin disease. An insecticide azadirachtin is also obtained from this plant.
