    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Allotropic forms of sulphur (i) Rhombic sulphur: It is prepared by evaporating solution of roll sulphur in \[\text{C}{{\text{S}}_{\text{2}}}\text{.}\] (ii) Monoclinic or Prismatic sulphur: It is prepared by melting sulphur in a dish and cooling till crust is formed. Two holes are made in the crust and liquid poured out. On removing the crust, colourless needle-shaped crystals of prismatic sulphur are seen. (iii) Plastic sulphur: It is obtained by pouring boiling sulphur in cold water when rubber like mass is obtained.
