    Kurosawa (1926) observed certain diseased rice plants in a rice field and conclunded that this disease is due to fungus Gibberilla fujikuroi. Asexual stage of this fungus is Fusarium momli formae. Later on Yabuto and Sumiki (1938) isolated the substance by this fungus and called it as gibberellin.
