According to the size, identify the correct decreasing order in: 1. Original star                   2. Red giant 3. White dwarf

    A)  1, 2, 3

    B)  2, 3, 1

    C)  3, 1, 2

    D)  2, 1, 3

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

A star have inner core and outer core, inner core shrinks due to gravitational pull and outer core expands. In red gaint stage of star  outer core expands too much. In white dwarf outer ring left the inner core and only inner ring is left which is shrinking due to gravitational pull. Hence, the size of red giant star is much more than original star and that of original star is more than that of white dwarf.
