    Solution :

                    The given network resistances can be replaced successively by the networks.                   Hence, the three resistors are connected in parallel, hence equivalent resistance is \[\frac{1}{R}=\frac{1}{r}+\frac{1}{r}+\frac{1}{r}=\frac{3}{r}\Rightarrow R=\frac{r}{3}\]
