                    When a\[\beta -\]particle is emitted, the atomic number is increased by one while atomic mass (mass number) remains unchanged, ie,\[_{z}{{X}^{A}}{{\xrightarrow[{}]{-\beta }}_{z+1}}{{X}^{A}}\]Since, the species having same mass number but different atomic number, are called isobars, thus, the parent and daughter nuclei (which is formed after emission of P-particle) are isobars.
