Spermatogenesis is formation of haploid gametes (sperm) from diploid primary reproductive   germ   cells;   spermatogonia (spermatogonium). The process involve two parts formation of spermatids and spermiogenesis (spermioteliosis). Therefore Spermatogenesis changes  spermatids  to  spermatozoa  by successive mitotic and meiotic divisions.
