    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

Passive immunity is a type of natural (innate) immunity, which is inherited from parents. It is achieved by entry of antibodies via placenta in developing foetus and through colostrum present in the breast milk of mother to a suckling baby. Artificial or acquired immunity refer to the resistance of infection obtained during life of an individual. This type of immunity can be achieved by vaccination. It is also called as specific or adaptive immunity as it posses specificity and diversity, (ability to distinguish differences among various foreign molecule) self and non-self (able to recognise and responding against self and non-self-foreign molecule) and retaining the memory of specific foreign molecule characteristics.
