    Solution :

     Speed of the wave \[=\sqrt{\frac{T}{\mu }}=\sqrt{\frac{500}{m/l}}\] \[=\sqrt{\frac{400}{\frac{3}{0.25}}}=\sqrt{\frac{400\times 25}{3\times 100}}\] \[=5.77\] \[\Rightarrow \]So time taken by disturbance to reach after end\[=\frac{0.25}{5.77}=0.043\,s\approx 0.47\]
