    Solution :

                    Pole strength of each pole is halved but length is same, so its magnetic moment becomes half. As mass of each part is halved, moment of inertia\[I\]is halved. As           \[T=2\pi \sqrt{\frac{I}{MB}}\] \[\therefore \]  \[T=\sqrt{\frac{I/2}{(M/2)B}}=T\] Hence, T remains the same is 4 s.
