    Solution :

                    If is a balanced Wheatstone bridge Hence,       \[\frac{P}{R}=\frac{Q}{X}\] Here,   \[P=12+4=16\,\Omega \]                 \[Q=1+3=4\,\Omega \]                 \[R=\frac{1}{2}\,\Omega \] So,          \[\frac{16}{0.5}=\frac{4}{X}\]                 \[X=0.125\,\Omega \]
