Thus, the unit cell consist of \[\text{CaC}{{\text{l}}_{\text{2}}}=0.0\text{1}\times \text{111}=\text{1}.\text{11 g}\]. \[\text{CaC}{{\text{l}}_{\text{2}}}=\text{111}\] ion and 1 \[\therefore \] ion, which is equivalent to the formula unit \[\text{NaCl}=\text{4}.\text{44}-\text{1}.\text{11}=\text{3}.\text{33}\]. The coordination number of each ion is 8.
