    Solution :

    Heat supplied to vaporise the water                 \[dQ=mL\] where \[L\] is the latent heat of vaporisation of water. \[\therefore \]  \[dQ=1\times 2250=2250\,\,J\] According to first law of thermodynamics,                 \[dQ=dU+dW\] or            \[2250=dU+168\] or            \[dU=2250-168\]                 \[=2082\,\,J\]
