    Solution :

    The power consumed when two resistance are in series combination is\[\frac{{{V}^{2}}}{2R}=60W\Rightarrow \frac{{{V}^{2}}}{R}=120W\] when the two resistance are connected in parallel combination power consumed is\[\frac{{{V}^{2}}}{R/2}=120(2)=240W\]
