The equation \[\operatorname{Im}\left( \frac{iz-2}{z-i} \right)\,+1=0,\,z\in C,\,z\ne i\] represents a part of a circle having radius equal to:                  [JEE Online 09-04-2017]

    A)  1

    B)  2

    C)  \[\frac{3}{4}\]

    D)  \[\frac{1}{2}\]

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

                    Let \[=x+y\] \[\operatorname{Im}\left[ \left( \frac{x-y-2}{x+(y-1)} \right)\,\left( \frac{x-(y-1)}{x-(y-1)} \right) \right]+1=0\]                 \[+\frac{(y-1)\,(y+2)+{{x}^{2}}}{{{x}^{2}}+{{(y-1)}^{2}}}+1=0\] \[=2{{x}^{2}}+2{{y}^{2}}-y-1=0\] \[={{x}^{2}}+{{y}^{2}}-1/2y-1/2=0\] \[\cot \,x=10,\,1/4\] \[=\sqrt{1/2+1/2}\,=\sqrt{9/16}=3/4\]
