    Solution :

    The force, slides down an inclined plane of angle \[\alpha \] is \[=mg\sin \alpha .\] When it is kept stationary, therefore must be in upward direction. If the body moves up an inclined plane the minimum retardation is \[g\sin \alpha \]. Hence total upward force \[=2\,mg\sin \alpha =20N\]
