    Solution :

    \[v=\omega \sqrt{{{a}^{2}}-{{y}^{2}}}\] \[\frac{{{v}_{2}}}{{{v}_{1}}}=\frac{{{a}^{2}}-16}{{{a}^{2}}-9}\] \[\therefore \] \[a=5.68\text{ }cm\] Length of path \[=2a=2\times 5.68=11.36\text{ }cm\]
