    Loss of energy \[=\frac{1}{2}\frac{{{C}_{1}}{{C}_{2}}}{({{C}_{1}}+{{C}_{2}})}{{({{V}_{1}}-{{V}_{2}})}^{2}}\] \[=\frac{1}{2}\frac{5\times {{10}^{-6}}\times 5\times {{10}^{-6}}{{(2000-1000)}^{2}}}{(5+5)\times {{10}^{-6}}}\] \[=\frac{5\times 5}{2\times 10}=1.25J\]
