                     For open organ pipe fundamental frequency\[f=\frac{v}{2l}\]. When tube is half immersed in water, the organ pipe becomes closed and length of vibrating air column becomes half (ie,\[l/2\]), \[\therefore \]New fundamental frequency \[f=\frac{v}{4\left( \frac{l}{2} \right)}=\frac{v}{2l}=f\]
