A batsman hits a cricket ball which then rolls on a level ground. After covering a short distance, the ball comes to rest. The ball slows to stop because: किसी बल्लेबाज द्वारा क्रिकेट की गेंद को मारने पर गेंद समतल जमीन पर लुढ़कती हैं, कुछ दूर लुढ़कने के पश्चात् गेंद रूक जाती है, गेंद रूकने के लिए धीमी होती है, क्योंकि-

A) The batsman did not hit the ball hard enough / बल्लेबाज ने गेंद को पर्याप्त प्रयास से हिट नहीं किया

B) Velocity is proportional to the force exerted on the ball / वेग, गेंद पर लगाए गए बल के समानुपाती है

C) There is a force on the ball opposing the motion / गेंद पर गति की दिशा के विपरीत एक बल कार्य कर रहा है ।

D) There is no unbalanced force on the ball, so the ball would try to come to rest / गेंद पर कोई असंतुलित बल कार्यरत् नहीं है, अतः गेंद विरामावस्था में आने के लिए प्रयासरत है ।
