Under the SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, whoever, not being a member of a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe, causes physical harm or mental agony of a member of a SC or a ST on the allegation of practising witchcraft or being a witch shall be punishable: अनुसूचित जाति और अनुसूचित जनजाति (अत्याचार निवारण) अधिनियम, 1989 के अन्तर्गत कोई भी व्यक्ति, जो अनुसूचित जाति या अनुसूचित जनजाति का सदस्य नहीं है, जादू-टोना करने या डाइन होने के अभिकथन पर अनुसूचित जाति या अनुसूचित जनजाति के सदस्य को शारीरिक हानि पहुँचायेगा या मानसिक यन्त्रणा देगा, वह किस अवधि के कारावास से दण्डित होगा?

A) With imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than six months but which may extend to five years and with fine / जिसकी अवधि छः माह से कम की नहीं होगी, किन्तु जो पाँच वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी और जुर्मानें से
