    Solution :

     The equation of line perpendicular   to \[x+y+1=0\]is\[x-y+\lambda =0\] Since, it passes through the point (1, 2). \[\therefore \] \[1-2+\lambda =0\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[-1+\lambda =0\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[\lambda =1\] Hence, equation of perpendicular line is \[x-y+1=0\] or          \[y-x-1=0\]
