    Solution :

    Let these two consecutive even number be x and\[x+2\]. Therefore, \[x(x+2)=16128\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[{{x}^{2}}+2x-16128=0\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[{{x}^{2}}+128x-126x-16128=0\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[x(x+128)-126(x+128)=0\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[x(x+128)-126(x+126)=0\] Since,       \[x+128=0\]is not possible. Therefore,   \[x-126=0\Rightarrow x=126\] So, the larger number = 128
