    Solution :

    \[No.\,\,of\,girls=(2000-900)=1100\] \[\therefore \]      \[No.\,\,of\,\,boys\,\,passed=900\times \frac{32}{100}=288\] \[and\,\,No\,\,of\,\,girls\,\,passed=1100\times \frac{38}{100}=418\] \[Candidates\,\,who\,\,failed=2000-288-418\] \[=1294\]
