[d] On the recommendation of Sardar Swaran Singh Committee, Fundamental Duties are included in the Indian Constitution by the 42nd Constitutional Amendment Act 1976, which included 10 Fundamental Duties. With the 86th Constitutional Amendment Act 2002, one more duty was added to the list. The Fundamental Duties are dealt by Article-51-A Part-IV  of the Constitution, which provides for total 11 Fundamental Duties for every citizen of India. "To uphold and protect the Sovereignty, Unity and Integrity of India" is one of them.
