Many tribes practice this system because it?s still acceptable in such societies. They have no choice other than to exchange goods for goods. As stated in paragraph, every January after the harvest season, a big market in Guwahati is organized where various tribes and communities exchange their products. In some communities, it is a cultural activity as well.
