    The early Harappan archaeologists thought that anything unusual or unfamiliar had a religious significance. The terracotta figurines of women found in Harappa were thought to be of mother goddess. The men figures were thought to be of priest kings. The great bath was considered as a place of ritual. A figure sitting cross legged was called yogi or Pashupatinath by some. Conical objects found were termed as lingas. Even the script has trident or plants which was given religious significance. So that Harappan archeologists relate the things and make religious significance.
