    State the two main expectations on the basis of which the United Nations was formed in 1945. Mention any two organs and agencies each of the UN.

    Answer:

     In 1945, UNO was formed with two main expectation:
    (1) To prevent international conflicts and to facilitate the cooperation among the states.
    (2) Its aim was intended to bring countries together, to improve the prospects of social and economic development all over the world.
    Two organs of UNO:
    (1) Security Council: Five permanent members (with veto powers) and ten members, elected by general assembly for the period of two years.
    (2) General Assembly: Representatives of all 192 member state, each with one vote. Major decisions require a 2/3 (two-third) majority of assembly. Five permanent members are 1. USA, 2. UK, 3. Russia, 4. China and 5. France.
    Two agencies of UNO:
    (1) WHO: World Health Organisation which takes care health related issues like epidemic etc., all over the world.
    (2) IMF: International Monetary Fund, looks after the financial institutions and regulations at the international level.
