    Describe the key features of self-report measures used in personality assessment.

    Answer:

    Structured personality tests are self-report measures that have the following features:
    (i) Questions are direct and structured.
    (ii) They are called self-report because the subject has to respond objectively to the items and the response is accepted at their face value.
    (iii) They are scored quantitatively and interpreted on the basis of norms.
    (iv) This method assesses the conscious part of personality only.
    Some of the self-report measures are MMPI, Eysenck Personality Questionnaire and 16 personality factor by Raymond Cattell.
