    (a) ?The multinational companies (MNC?s) choose China as an alternative location for investment because:
    (i) After revolution of 1949, China gradually entered the field of world economy. It attracted    the foreign MNC?s to invest in china?s economy.
    (ii) China is the most populous country in the world, besides labour they formed a large consumer base.
    (iii) Wages in China were relatively low. So, it was great attraction for the MNC?s.
    Or
    (b) Three benefits of Industrialization on the society are as follows:
    (i) New railway stations came up and railway lines were extended, tunnels were dug up.
    (ii) Building activities were intensified in the cities, opening up greater opportunities of employment for youth.
    (iii) Roads were widened to make transport facility better.
    Or
    (c) There were so many reasons for the expansion of population in Bombay in the mid 19th century. Three of them are as follows:
    (i) Bombay dominated the maritime trade. It was also the junction head of two major railways, which encouraged higher scale of migration in to the city.
    (ii) Famine in the dry region of kachcha drove large number of people into Bombay.
    (iii) Bombay become an administrative centre and a major industrial centre, with the growth of trade in cotton and opium, large communities of artisans, traders and bankers started settling in Bombay.
