A solid copper sphere of radius us 9 cm. is melted and reformed into a wire of mm. What will be the length of this wire? \[\left( \text{Take}\,\pi =\frac{22}{7} \right)\]

    A)  1166.4 metre

    B)  1458 metre

    C)  777.6 metre

    D)  972 metre

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

     Volume of solid sphere \[=\frac{4}{3}\pi {{r}^{3}}=\frac{4}{3}\pi \times 9\times 9\times 9\] \[=972\,\pi \]cubic cm. If the length of wire be h cm then Volume of wire \[=972\pi \] \[\Rightarrow \]\[\pi {{\left( \frac{1}{10} \right)}^{2}}h=972\pi \] \[\Rightarrow \]\[h=97200\,cm.=972\]metre
