How many balls of radius 2 cm can be made by melting a bigger ball of diameter 16 cm? (Take \[\pi =\frac{22}{7}\])

    A)  64

    B)  128

    C)  32

    D)  96

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

     Volume of larger ball \[=\frac{4}{3}\pi {{(8)}^{3}}\,cu.cm.\] Volume of a smaller ball \[=\frac{4}{3}\pi {{(2)}^{3}}\,cu.cm.\] \[\therefore \]Number of smaller balls \[=\frac{\frac{4}{3}\pi \times 8\times 8\times 8}{\frac{4}{3}\pi \times 2\times 2\times 2}=64\]
