Assertion: Tapeworm roundworm and pinworm are endoparasites of human intestine. Reason: Improperly cooked food is the source of intestinal infections.

    A) A

    B) B

    C) C

    D)        D

    E) E

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

Tapeworm (Taenia solium) belongs to platyhelminthes and roundworm (Ascaris), pinworm (Enterobius) belongs to Aschelminthes. All of these are endoparasites. The main cause of the intestinal infection is improperly cooked food. However, Tapeworm infection occurs by eating improperly cooked food, Ascaris is transmitted by contaminated food and water and Enterobious Vermicularis or Rinworm may be transmitted through food or improper sanitary conditions. So both Assertion and Reason are correct.
