Suppose oxidation state of S in \[\text{N}{{\text{a}}_{\text{2}}}{{\text{S}}_{\text{2}}}{{\text{O}}_{\text{3}}}\]is \[x,\] \[N{{a}_{2}}{{S}_{2}}{{O}_{3}}\]                 \[\therefore \]  \[(2x+1)+2x+(-2\times 3)=0\]                 or            \[2+2x-6=0\] or            \[2x=+\,4\] \[\therefore \]  \[x=+\,2\]
