    Bridges conducted experiment on Drosophila (fruitfly). He proposed the genie balance theory of sex determination. According to theory, the ratio between the X-chromosome and number of complete sets of autosomes will determine the sex. The X-chromosome believed to carry female tendency genes and autosomes carry male tendency genes.
