                     The moment of inertia of uniform circular discabout an axis through its centre and normal to itsplane \[{{I}_{CG}}=\frac{1}{2}M{{R}^{2}}\] According to theorem of parallel axis, themoment of inertia of the uniform circular discabout an axis passing from the edge of the discand normal to the disc, \[I={{I}_{CG}}+M{{R}^{2}}\] \[=\frac{1}{2}M{{R}^{2}}+M{{R}^{2}}=\frac{3}{2}M{{R}^{2}}\]
