                    The maximum amount of air which can be breathed out through forceful expiration after a forceful inspiration is equal to the sum of tidal Volume (TV), Inspiratory Reserve Volume (IRV) and Expiratory Reserve Volume (ERV) and called as vital capacity. Its value is 4.1 - 4.6 litres.
