It is calculated by Abbe equation, .i.e.,\[{{L}_{m}}=\,\frac{0.61\,\lambda }{NA}\]\[\lambda \] is wavelength and NA is numerical aperture. Resolving power of compound microscope will increase with decrease in wavelength of light and increase in numerical aperture.
