    Solution :

                     The refractive index is 1.5 and the radius of curvature of the curved face is 100 cm and of the plane side is \[\infty ,\]hence \[P=\frac{1}{f}=(\mu -1)\left( \frac{1}{{{R}_{1}}}-\frac{1}{{{R}_{2}}} \right)\] \[=(1.5-1)\left( \frac{1}{\infty }-\frac{1}{1} \right)\] \[=0.5\times (-1)=-0.5\,D\]
