Solution :[a] Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) is a government- run health insurance scheme for the BPL family. It provides cashless insurance for hospitalisation in public as well as selected private hospitals. RSBY became fully operational on April 1, 2008 and is active in 25 states of India. It provides for IT-enabled and smart-card-based cashless healthy insurance cover, up to Rs.30, 0007- per annum on a family floater basis to the BPL families (a unit of five) and 11 occupational groups in the unorganized sector and most importantly the workers who have worked for more than 15 days under MGNREGS. It also covers maternity benefits. Over about 36 million families have been enrolled. Initially the RSBY project was under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, but from April 1, 2015 it was transferred to Ministry of Health and family welfare.
