    Solution :

    (A + B)'s 1 day's work \[=\frac{1}{6}+\frac{1}{8}=\frac{7}{24}\] C'S 1 day's work \[=\frac{7}{24}\] \[\therefore \]  (B + Q)'s 1 day's work             \[=\frac{1}{8}+\frac{7}{24}=\frac{5}{12}\] \[\therefore \] B and C together will complete the work in             \[\frac{12}{5}=2\frac{2}{5}\,\text{days}\]
