  ICICI Bank has tied up with NBFC IndoStar Capital for vehicle financing for small and medium fleet owners to buy new as well as old commercial vehicles. Under this partnership, IndoStar will originate and service the customers through the entire loan life cycle including sourcing, documentation, collection and loan servicing.

 The State Bank of India has signed a memorandum of understanding with National Investment and Infrastructure Fund to boost availability of capital for infrastructure projects. The scope of the agreement includes equity investments, project funding, bond financing, renewable energy support and take-out finance for operating assets.

  The GoI, the Government of Kerala and the World Bank have signed the Loan Agreement of USD 250 million for the First Resilient Kerala Program. The program will focus on strengthening the state’s institutional and financial capacity to protect the assets and livelihoods of poor and vulnerable groups. The New Program is part of ‘Rebuild Kerala Development Programme’ aimed at building a green and resilient Kerala.

 India has signed a loan agreement worth 400 million dollar with the World Bank to help treat and eliminate Tuberculosis from the country. The World Bank supported program will cover nine States and it will support the government’s National Strategic Plan to end TB in India by 2025. Under the program, GoI provide Direct Benefit Transfers to patients for acquiring the critical nutrition needed during treatment.

  Health insurance provider Max Bupa partners with fintech platform MobiKwik to promote bite sized group health insurance products for MobiKwik’s 107 million customersacross the country. Bite-sized insurance offerings are over the counter health insurance products, primarily targeted towards working professionals and millennials.

  National Thermal Power Corporation Limited and Power Grid Corporation of India Limited have signed an agreement to set up National Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. NEDCL will be a joint venture company on 50:50 equity basis. The main aim of the initiative is to enter the electricity distribution business on a pan India basis.

  The Government of India, the Government of Jharkhand and the World Bank signed a $147 Million Loan Agreement. Jharkhand will invest the amount to provide urban services such as water supply, sewerage, drainage and urban road.

  National Small Industries Corporation has signed an MoU with Common Service Centres e-Governance Services India.  The aim is to enhance new offerings for the MSME sector by synergizing each other’s competence. MoU will also enable CSCs to utilize plethora of NSIC offerings through the NSIC portal.

  Global internet body Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and Indian IT industry body National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) collaborated to develop identifier technology to manage devices and infrastructure using internet. Under the collaboration, both the bodies will first focus on updating Internet of Things(IoT) devices using domain name system (DNS). The project team under the collaboration includes ICANN technical experts, NASSCOM’s Centre of Excellence IOT team, IIT Hyderabad team and participants from India’s Education and Research Network (ERNET).

  India has signed agreements with Bangladesh and South Korea for DD India to be telecasted on the state platforms of the respective countries. As per the agreement, BTV World, a channel owned by Bangladesh TV and KBS World, an English language of South Korea, will now be available on the state-owned DD Free Dish.
