  Andhra Pradesh has launched a web portal which makes land records available to people with unique identification numbers. The “Bhudaar’’ is an 11-digit unique identification code assigned to each agriculture land holding and rural and urban properties in the state. Two types of Bhudaar cards are available including e-Bhudaar and M-Bhudaar. The temporary Bhudaar is assigned based on valid textual data of an agriculture landholding or rural or urban property starting with 99 which indicates it is temporary Bhudaar. The unique ID for permanent Bhudaar will start with 28 and if it is a government land, 28 is followed by 00.

 Andhra Pradesh is building a world-class and India’s first ‘Justice City’ within its new capital Amaravati with the vision to provide a state-of-the-art ecosystem built on latest technology for supporting the judicial system in the state. Justice City will provide the necessary infrastructure to provide speedy justice for litigants, easy and better access to justice for the masses and reduce pending cases. A law museum is proposed to be built to showcase, preserve and disseminate information and knowledge on the rich legal heritage of India.

  The Himachal Pradesh government in the cabinet meeting accorded its approval to implement Sashakt Mahila Yojna in the state with a vision to empower rural women by providing them an interface for organization and socio-economic development. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. The scheme not only envisages to link rural women with sustainable livelihood opportunities but also to improve their skill by imparting training.

 The Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) has rolled out– KOOL, its Online Open Learning training platform. The platform can be used to train teachers, students and the general public. With the state’s schools going Hi-Tech, requiring teachers and students to be trained on different domains simultaneously, it was decided to launch KOOL. KOOL has been designed in a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) model.

 The Odisha government announced a new Biotechnology Policy 2018 to attract investments in the sector at the concluding day of the Make in Odisha Conclave, held in Bhubaneswar. Odisha’s Science and Technology Minister B N Patra said that the government will provide its full support for the development of the biotechnology sector by forming Public Private Partnership, bio-incubation centers and bi-tech finishing schools. The state government aims to make the state a top biotech investment destination in the country.

 Nongkrem dance festival, an annual event during which prayers are offered for good harvest, peace, and prosperity of the community was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm by the inhabitants of the Khasi Hills in Shillong, Meghalaya. The unique dance is performed by the members of Hima Khyrim, a sub-tribe of the indigenous Khasi tribe. During which young men, women and kids dancing to the tunes of drums and pipes are seen clad in their exquisite ethnic attire of red and yellow.

 The third edition of the India International Cherry Blossom Festival 2018 was held in Shillong. It was inaugurated by the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma in the presence of Japanese Ambassador to India, Kenji Hiramatsu. The four-day long festival is being organized by the Forest and Environment Department, Govt of Meghalaya, Institute of Bio-resources and Sustainable Development in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. It celebrates the unique autumn flowering of the Himalayan Cherry Blossoms with several cultural events.

  The All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the State government of Odisha signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Kalinga Stadium complex in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Odisha will host National team camps while also becoming the home of the I-League side Indian Arrows, according to the MoU.

 The Uttar Pradesh government has approved renaming of Faizabad and Allahabad divisions as Ayodhya and Prayagraj respectively. The decision was taken at a meeting of the state cabinet presided over by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Earlier, the government renamed the Mughalsarai Railway station, another historic spot, as Deen Dayal Upadhyaya junction.

 Tamil Nadu has received the nod from the market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to launch its State Shelter Fund for attracting investments in the affordable housing segment. The Tamil Nadu government established the Tamil Nadu Infrastructure Fund which is the category-I Alternative Investment Fund. The announcement was made by the Deputy Chief Minister of the State O Panneerselvam at a conference on ‘Innovative and Alternative Finance for Business and Infrastructure Development in India’ organized by the United Economic Forum (UEF) Chamber of Commerce and World Islamic Economic Forum Foundation (WIEF).
