Printing and Editing the Downloaded File
When you view pages on the Web, you often find information that you would like to save for future reference or share with others. The best way is to download it and take a printed-paper copy. To print the downloaded Web page, just open those file where it is saved and click the printer icon on the Tool Bar. The page will print according to all your default options. (See Figure 5.6.11)
There is another, more detailed way to print material.
1. Go to the Menu Bar and click File. You will see a dropdown menu with some options.
2. Click the Print option. You can select the printing options you want and then click OK.
If you are a creative person, you can create masterpieces and works of art by using the Internet. Using the software available on the Internet, you can edit or make modifications to the files that you have downloaded and create your own pictures and even movies. There are a lot of programs and utilities available on the Internet that allow you to do this. Many of these are free and can be easily downloaded from the Internet. Downloaded pictures can be pulled into image software (like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro) and manipulated (like resizing and cutting images and adding text to the graphics). To edit sound files you can use freeware like mp3 cutter.exe.

Viewing the Downloaded File
When surfing the internet, local viewing tends to be much faster and visually clearer when using a slow connection. Instead of opening large sized files, such as ?.pdf? or Portable Document Format files, downloading the files will make the process faster. Downloading a File
Downloading is the process of copying a file (such as a game or a utility) from one computer to another across the Internet. When you download a game from a Web site, it means you are copying it from the author or publisher's Web server to your own computer. This allows you to install and use the program on your own machine. The step to download a file using Internet Explorer and Windows XP is given below. If you are using a different browser such as Netscape Navigator or a different version of Windows, the screens may look a little different, but the basic steps are the same.
